Trade
Three ways to buy from us, with the conditions stated rather than discussed after the first meeting.
Most volume goes through distributors who hold demonstration stock and carry out first-line service. We appoint one or two per territory, not five — a distributor who cannot make a margin will not keep a demo fixture on the shelf, and a fixture nobody can see does not get specified.
| Condition | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Opening order | 15 fixtures across at least two series |
| Demonstration stock | One fixture per series carried, minimum |
| Service capability | A technician trained here, refreshed every three years |
| Territory | Non-exclusive, but limited in number |
Repertory houses, opera houses and broadcasters who replace a rig over several years buy direct on a framework: agreed specification, agreed price held for the framework term, drawn down as budget allows.
The reason this suits both sides is that a house re-rigging over four years must be able to buy the same fixture in year four as in year one. We hold specifications for the framework term and will not change a housing, yoke or accessory mount mid-term.
We build fixtures carried under other names. This is roughly a fifth of output and we are open about it because the alternative — pretending otherwise — collapses the first time somebody opens two housings.
| Item | Minimum | Lead time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Badge and paint change only | 50 units | 10 weeks | Existing model, your colour and label |
| Modified housing | 150 units | 16 weeks | New tooling charged separately |
| Custom optics | 300 units | 26 weeks | Includes prototype rounds and photometric measurement |
| Spare parts, OEM lines | — | Stocked | Same twenty-year guarantee |
What we will not do under OEM: build to a specification we consider unsafe, omit the thermal protection, or supply without the CE technical file. Those have all been asked for and the answer does not change.
Every fixture shipped from 2016 onward carries a twenty-year parts guarantee from the date its model was last built. Lenses, yokes, gel frames, lamp carriages and mechanical parts are held or remade. Electronics are the hard case — semiconductors go obsolete on their own schedule — so we hold driver stock and, where that runs out, offer a retrofit board at cost.
Trade pricing is by volume band and is the same for every distributor in a band. We do not negotiate individually, which occasionally loses an order and has kept the price list honest for forty years.
